Chennai: India were 64 for 1 when reports came in last in the second test against England at Chennai today. Earlier India won the toss and elected to bat. The hosts will try to pull out a victory in the second test, as  they were mauled by a huge margin by the visitors in the first one.

Though this is the second test match to be played out in the historic MA Chidambaram stadium at

Chepauk in Chennai after a long drought, this is the first one to be watched by the diehard cricket fans in person post Covid-19 pandemic.

Incidentally, the last time Chennai hosted a test match has also been against England in December 2016. Though fans are allowed this time, only 50-percent of the gallery are thrown open to maintain social distancing.
