Copa America: Argentina beats Ecuador 3-0 to move into semi-finals

In the Copa America football tournamnet, favourites Argentina advanced to the semi-final with a 3-0 win over Ecuador. Star player Lionel Messi was directly involved in all three goals. Colombia defeated Uruguay 4-2 on penalties after a tense 0-0 draw to set up a semis date with Argentina.

On the other hand, Brazil survived losing Gabriel Jesus to a red



card early in the second-half to defeat Chile 1-0 in a thrilling quarter-final. The host nation will play Peru, who defeated Paraguay on penalties earlier in the day, at Rio de Janeiro’s Nilton Santos stadium on July 5.

The final will be played on July 10 at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
