In Premier Badminton League, Bengaluru Raptors stormed into the final with a 4-2 victory over Awadhe Warriors in Bengaluru yesterday.

Bengaluru Raptors’ potent men’s singles combination of Srikanth and Praneeth once again came to the party, putting up impressive shows. While Srikanth went past World No. 5 Ho Son to record his seventh straight win, Praneeth beat Dong Keun.

Bengaluru’s men’s doubles pair of Mohammed Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan sealed the fate of the

tie with a victory over Yang Lee-Mathias Christiansen.

Only the mixed doubles team of Christiansen and Ashwini Ponnappa brought some cheer for Awadhe Warriors, when they defeated Marcus Ellis-Lauren Smith in the opening rubber. Bengaluru Raptors will take on the winners of the Second semi-final clash between Hyderabad Hunters and Mumbai Rockets in the final on Sunday.

The second semi-final will be played today at the same venue at 7 p.m.
