Asia Cup 2025: India thrash Malaysia with comeback win as final race heats up

The Indian team secured an incredible comeback win to thrash Malaysia 4-1 to secure their first win of the Super 4s stage on Thursday, September 4. India needed the win after their disappointing draw against Korea and overcame an early setback to turn things around in the second quarter with three goals.

Vivek Sagar Prasad were on the scoresheet for India as the Super 4s stage has now been left wide open. Earlier in the day, China stunned Korea with a 3-0 win to make things interesting going into the final day of Super 4 matches on Saturday, September 6.

Bangladesh also secured their spot in the 5th-6th place play-off with a convincing 5-1 win over Kazakhstan.
