In Tennis, British Emma Raducanu, made a triumphant return at Wimbledon, beating Belgium's Alison van Uytvanck by 6-4 and 6-4. In another match, Anett Kontaveit, the No. 2 seed, reached the second round of the Ladies' Singles with a convincing victory over Bernarda Pera of United States. The Estonian No. 2 seed won 7-5, 6-1. Kontaveit will face Jule Niemeier, of Germany, in the second round.

Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz defeated German Jan-Lennard Struff after falling behind two sets to one and advanced to the second round. The 19-year-old won



4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 with a stunning performance. The youngest player in the draw, Alcarez, will next take on either Tallon Griekspoor of the Netherlands or Fabio Fognini of Italy.

On the other hand, Britain's Andy Murray got his Wimbledon 2022 campaign off to a fine start as he overcame Australia's James Duckworth. The 35 year old produced a very solid performance to down  Duckworth in fourth sets 4-6 6-3 6-2 6-4 to reach the second round. He will face John Isner, the world No 24.
