PV Sindhu loses title clash in India Open

Olympics and World Championships Silver medalist PV Sindhu lost to fifth seeded American Beiwen Zhang in the title clash of the India Open Badminton tournament in New Delhi on Sunday. 

In a cliffhanger match she lost to Beiwen Zhang 18-21, 21-11, 20-22. It was the



fifth meeting between Sindhu and Zhang and the head-to-head record now is 3-2 with Sindhu losing this match.

Sindhu entered the final defeating the third placed Thai, Ratchanok Intanon in straight games, 21-13, 21-15 in the semi-finals last night.
