Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Tuesday said that the people of Uttar Pradesh would not be deceived by the saffron party’s tactics as they very well know it is ‘Bharatiya Jumla Party’.
“They haven’t even fulfilled one-third of their promises and have always made false promises to keep the people in disguise and everybody is well aware of that. The people have even started calling the BJP as ‘Bharatiya Jumla Party’, which does not perform but only makes fake statements,” she added.
The former Uttar Pradesh chief minister further said the general public is agitated because of the November 8 demonetisation drive and the false promises made so far, adding they will, therefore, not let the BJP emerge victorious in the assembly elections.
“In order to improve the condition of the state and its welfare, the people have yet again decided to vote for me in this election,” Mayawati said.Addressing an election rally in Mau, She asserted that people are well aware of how the BJP and its leaders function.
“One of the promises was that after forming the government at the Centre, they would bring all black money back stashed in safe havens abroad within 100 days and out of that around Rs. 15-20,000 will be given

to the poor families. The other one was that farmers, who are suffering under huge amount of debts will be given relief, which they are saying in this very election as well,” Mayawati emphasized.
“I want to ask this from all the farmers as to how much money has been deposited in your bank accounts in the last two and half years,” she added.Continuing her tirade against the BJP, she said that demonetisation has hurt the nation, adding the people are still suffering because of this move as several continue to remain unemployed.
“They have not yet presented the list of people involved with corruption neither did they say how much amount has been recovered. This proves that this move was introduced to divert the focus from their bad administration and ulterior motives,” Mayawati said.
She further alleged that the BJP would end all reservation of it comes to power in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier on Monday, voting was held in Amethi, Sultanpur, Faizabad, Barabanki, Ambedkarnagar, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Gonda, Basti, Siddharthnagar and Sant Kabir Nagar districts for the fifth phase.
The sixth-phase of polling for 49 assembly constituencies spread across seven districts of Uttar Pradesh will take place on March 4.
