BSP superemo lashes out at BJP govt

Thu 02 Feb 2017, 11:26:26
Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati lashed out at the Bharatiya Janta Party government as well the nascently forged Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance in UP.
To avert split of minority votes, the former UP chief minister cautioned Muslims not to let their vote go waste and also alerted Dalits that the formation of a BJP government might led to waiver of reservation for the community.Mayawati tried to woo both Muslims and Dalits while kicking off the BSP's poll campaign campaign in Meerut and Aligarh - two major west UP cities which go to polls in the first phase on February 11.
Interestingly, Mayawati once again sympathised with SP leader Shivpal Yadav saying that the SP patriarch meted out step-motherly treatment to him to benefit of his son."The BJP carried out demonetisation, surgical strikes etc to divert public attention from the Union government's failure. Now they are moving to review reservation in jobs,” asserted the BSP chief alerting the community to vote for the BSP which could only thwart the BJP moves.
"Any government, especially BJP and RSS cannot snatch the right to reservation. If the Modi

government brings a law for ending reservation, people of these sections will teach them a lesson," she asserted. "Those in the BJP and RSS should desist from issuing threats of ending reservation to the sections who have been given the right under the Constitution," Maywati said.
Terming the BJP manifesto as a bundle of lies, Mayawati said that the party which cheated the public during the last Parliament polls and fulfilled none of its promises, has once again announced sops just to fool the public.
Cautioning Muslims not to waste their votes, Mayawati appealed them to vote for her party so that it could ensure a fearless society to every section of the society.Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party-Congress alliance, Mayawati said that the Congress joined the party which only gave `jungle raj’ in UP and let off riot accused due to tacit understanding with the BJP.
Mayawati assured that once she comes to power, she would sent the riot accused and criminals to jail and review cases of atrocities on Dalits and those Muslims who had to leave their houses in western UP in the aftermath of  the riots.
