Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati attacked the Samajwadi Party for allowing a ‘jungle raaj’ in the state and reiterated that only her party could provide and security to the minorities.

“The state is in the grip of lawlessness where criminals and subversive forces are freely operating forcing the common man to live in fear,” asserted Mayawati while attacking Akhilesh Yadav for failing to ensure security.

“Over 500 riots and massacres in west UP still haunt the minority community more so as all riot accused of the Saffron brigade are freely roaming and again trying to disturb communal harmony to win elections,” Mayawati said.

“Mulayam Singh humiliated his brother Shivpal due to his love for his son Akhilesh. Shivpal’s supporters will not sit quiet. The SP is divided into two parts. If minorities do not sit up now, they will have to face problems,” she said.

Cautioning minorities against the BJP, Mayawati said, “The Modi government was interfering in common civil code, triple talaq etc. Minorities are being troubled in the name of gauraksha, love jehad and terrorism,” she added. The former UP Chief Minister also reminded the gathering of the trouble they faced due to demonetisation and claimed that moves like demonetisation, surgical strike etc were carried out as the PM wanted to deflect public attention froim the failure of his government at the Centre.

Mayawati also accused the SP government of indulging in politics of vendetta and said that minorities and Dalits were framed and sent to jail. She promised to review these cases and ensure justice to the innocent.

The BSP chief furtehr said that remaining cane dues of farmers will be cleared on a priority if her party was voted to power. Interestingly, she also did not fail to tell the people of the BJP’s move of reviewing reservation.

“The reservation facility to Dalits and backwards will come to an end in case the BJP comes to power in UP. If BSP comes to power, the facility will continue besides reservation will also be extended to the poor among upper castes,” she said.
