In Madhya Pradesh, campaigning for byelections to 28 assembly constituencies is in full swing. Polling will be held on November 3.

There are about 63 lakh 68 thousand voters in these assembly constituencies. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the election commission has reduced the number of star campaigners of national and state level political parties in the election campaign.

State Chief Electoral Officer Veera Rana informed that in these by-elections, corona-infected patients will also be able to cast their votes.

Election officials also informed that postal ballots will be issued to corona infected voters for the voting, whether they are in home isolation or admitted in COVID Hospital.

This facility of postal ballot will also be given to people above eighty years of age and also to Divyang voters.
