Forty assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh and 22 in Manipur are voting on Wednesday in the last and final phase of the five-state assembly elections.
In the politically crucial UP, all eyes are on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha constituency, Varanasi. Around 1.40 crore voters are expected to exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 535 candidates in seven districts of eastern UP in the seventh phase.
In the northeastern state of Manipur, the fate of bigwigs such as chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh, deputy CM Gaikhangam and human rights activist-turned-politician Irom Chanu Sharmila will be decided.
The results for the five states --- UP, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur --- will be announced on Saturday (March 11).

6.00pm: Voter turnout of 60.03% recorded in 7th phase of polling in UP elections till 5pm,  state's chief electoral officer T Venkatesh.

3.30pm: 51.69% voting till 3 pm in the seventh and last phase of UP elections.

12.20pm: In Uttar Pradesh's Mirzapur, farmers have boycotted voting at the polling booth number 283 of Chunar assembly segment alleging lack of irrigation facilities and development in their area.
