Tongue blisters are a common problem that we see on regular basis. This could happen to anyone irrespective of the healthy diet as you could burn your tongue by eating or drinking something hot. You could also get it due to some injury such as sudden biting of tongue with teeth unintentionally or grinding your teeth while chewing something. All this has happened to most of us at one point in time. You could also get some medical condition or allergy which may cause tongue blister.

You may experience pain and inflammation while chewing food and may also see the taste buds disappear for the time you have been affected by blisters. Make use of these home remedies to get rid of the tongue blisters with ease.

Salt : Salt helps to kill bacteria and prevents from infection. It also reduces the pain in the act. Just add a teaspoon of salt in lukewarm water and rinse your mouth for about 30 seconds and spit out the water.

You should repeat it 5 times a day on daily basis until the blisters are gone.

Baking Soda : Baking Soda has anti-inflammatory properties which help to soothe the pain. Mix a teaspoon of baking soda in lukewarm water and rinse it for a few minutes on the affected areas. Spit it out and repeat numerous times in a day to get the blisters go away.

Hydrogen Peroxide : It has anti-bacterial and disinfectant properties that help to heal blisters. Take equal proportions of solution and water and mix well. Use a cotton swab and



apply on the blisters. Let it stay for about 2 minutes and rinse well.

Repeat the process to get rid of blisters fast.

Ice : It is an age old remedy and very effective. Just place the ice cube on the blister directly. It helps in immediate relief from pain and also reduces the swelling and pain.

It makes the area numb and you cannot feel the pain.

Aloe Vera : Aloe Vera has natural healing ingredient and properties. Just cut open an Aloe Vera and squeeze the gel out. Apply on the tongue and let it stay for about 5 minutes.

Rinse your mouth with warm water and use this method for about 4 day.

Vitamin B : Foods that contain Vitamin B are also very good in such cases. You should ensure that your diet contains vitamin B in good proportion. These can help you get rid of tongue blisters with ease.

You may eat eggs, oats, salmon, avocados, whole grains, bran, and bananas as well. All such foods would ensure that the tongue blisters go away soon and may not occur for a long time in the future.

Milk : You can also consume a glass of milk twice a day as it has bioactive compounds. It is recommended for oral health and has anti-inflammatory properties so that the tongue blisters can be healed quickly.

Other methods that can heal tongue blisters are ginger and garlic, coriander seeds, tea tree oil, basil, turmeric, honey to name a few.
