With 2,973 fresh Covid-19 cases Delhi's COVID-19 tally climbs to 1,88,193

With 2,973 fresh Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours, Delhi on Saturday saw the highest single-day spike in the last 70 days. The previous highest was on June 26 when the national capital recorded 3,460 Covid-19 cases.

After Saturday's figure, Delhi's total Covid-19 case tally now stands at 1,88,193. Of these, 1,63,785 have recovered and 19,870 have



died.

Delhi has been seeing a spike in daily case numbers for the past few days. This comes against the backdrop of weeks of witnessing a declining trend.

On Friday, Delhi recorded 2,914 fresh coronavirus cases, the highest single-day spike here in 69 days. This is the fourth successive day in September when over 2,000 new coronavirus cases have been reported in a day.
