Uttar Pradesh has 805 confirmed Covid-19 cases to date along with 78 fresh cases

A total of 78 new cases of the novel coronavirus have been reported from across Uttar Pradesh. The total number of confirmed cases in the state now stands at 805, including 74 recoveries and 13 deaths.

Out of the new cases, 43 have been linked to the congregation held at the Nizamuddin Tablighi Jamaat Markaz in Delhi in March of this year. Officials with the Uttar Pradesh government said that 471 out of the state's



805 confirmed cases have a direct or indirect link with the congregation.

The capital city of Uttar Pradesh has 100 confirmed cases of Covid-19, second only to Agra with 167 confirmed cases and followed by Noida with 92 confirmed cases of infection. In addition, five coronavirus-related deaths have been reported from Agra, two from Moradabad and one each from Basti, Meerut, Varanasi, Bulandshahr, Kanpur and Lucknow.
