DUBAI: The United Arab Emirates is preparing seven more field hospitals to be ready soon as part of efforts to boost national capacity for coronavirus cases, state news agency WAM reported.

Farida Al-Hosani, the spokeswoman for the country’s health sector, made the announcement along with other updates related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The country has so far vaccinated 3,480,415 people against COVID-19, including over 57 percent of people aged over 60 years old.

The authorities have strengthened some coronavirus

“We have noticed a gradual decrease in the number of registered cases around the country in the past two weeks, due to the national health protocols we adopted. We also increased our monitoring of all relevant national authorities,” Al-Hosani said.

On Tuesday, the UAE has reported a total of 375,535 infections since the start of the pandemic, 366,567 recovered patients and 1,145 deaths.
