Hyderabad: Telangana reported 1896 new Covid-19 infections and eight fatalities till Monday night, taking the overall toll to 645 and the cumulative number of positive cases to 82,647. The total number of active cases as on Monday night in the State is 22,628.

Between Sunday and Monday night, 1788 persons recovered, pushing the overall number of recoveries in the State to 59,374 with a recovery rate of 71.84 per cent while the countrywide recovery rate was 69.33 per cent. According to the health bulletin, the mortality in the State was 0.78 per cent while the countrywide figure was two per cent.

Out of the 22,528 active patients, 15,554 Covid-19 positive patients were under home isolation across the State while 7, 074 positive cases are in institutional care. About 84 per cent of the positive patients in the State, who are recovering in home-isolation, are asymptomatic.

authorities conducted 18,035 Covid-19 tests till Monday night while results of 959 more swab samples are pending. So far, 6,42,875 samples have been tested.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from a”the districts include 14 from Adilabad, 60 from Bhadradri, 338 from areas under GHMC, 59 from Jagtiyal, 71 from Jangaon, 20 from Bupalapally, 85 from Gadwal, 71 from Kamareddy, 121 from Karimnagar, 65 from Khammam, 17 from Komarambheem Asifabad, 58 from Mahabubnagar, 23 from Mahabubabad, 11 from Mancherial, 14 from Medak, 119 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 23 from Mulugu, seven from Nagarkurnool, 54 from Nalgonda, 13 from Narayanpet, 12 from Nirmal, 42 from Nizamabad, 66 from Peddapally, 38 from Siricilla, 147 from Rangareddy, 49 from Sangareddy, 64 from Siddipet, 32 from Suryapet, 21 from Vikarabad, 28 from Wanaparthy, 35 from Warangal Rural, 95 from Warangal Urban and 24 from Yadadri Bhongir.
