Staring at the second wave of coronavirus with rapidly rising number of Covid-19 cases, the Maharashtra government Saturday extended Covid-19 related restrictions in the state till April 15. The state reported 35,726 new Covid-19 cases and 166 deaths on Saturday.


The state also reported 166 Covid-19 deaths



on Saturday while the case fatality rate (percentage of cases where deaths occur) was 2.02 per cent.


Currently, 14,88,701 people in Maharashtra are in home quarantine and 15,644 people are in institutional quarantine.


As of Saturday, the state had 3,03,475 active cases, the highest in the country.
