Maharashtra registers 8,333 new Covid-19 infections

Maharashtra has reported 8,333 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The 8,333 new Covid-19 infections have taken state's total caseload to 21,38,154.

Mumbai, which was once a Covid hotspot of the state, has also started to record a slight increase in daily coronavirus cases lately. On Friday, Mumbai registered 1,034 fresh cases of coronavirus, which took city's active case tally to



9,315.

Mumbai has been recording over 1,000 daily coronavirus cases for the past three days. On February 24, Mumbai registered more than 1,000 fresh Covid-19 cases after a gap of 119 days.

Maharashtra, meanwhile, also recorded 4,936 recoveries on Friday. The latest recoveries have taken the total number of cured patients to 20,17,303. The recovery rate in the state currently is 94.35 per cent.
