Maharashtra registers 28,699 fresh Covid-19 cases

Maharashtra has on Tuesday registered 28,699 fresh cases of coronavirus and 13,165 recoveries. The state, after witnessing a record spike in cases for days, finally saw a slight dip on Monday.

The 28,699 fresh Covid-19 cases and 13,165 recoveries on Tuesday have taken state's total caseload to



25,33,026 and its tally of cured cases to 22,47,495.

Maharashtra on Sunday reported 30,535 new cases of coronavirus, its highest single-day jump in cases since the beginning of the virus outbreak in the state.

However, on Monday, the state saw a slight dip in fresh cases with 24,265 infections.
