Maharashtra records 2,026 new Coronavirus cases

Mumbai: Maharashtra yesterday reported 2,026 new cases of COVID-19 taking the cumulative total to 65,62,514. According to the State Public Health Department, 26 people succumbed to the infection taking the toll to 1,39,233. While 5,389 patients were discharged during the day taking the total number of recoveries to 63,86,059. The state now has 33,637 active



cases.

 

The Recovery rate in the state is 97.31 per cent and the case fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.

 

On the other hand, Mumbai reported 339 new COVID-19 cases taking the overall caseload to 7,45,652. The city also recorded two deaths and 436 recoveries. The city presently has 6,198 active cases.
