Kochi: Kerala continues to report surge in Covid cases as it confirms  32,801  new positive cases yesterday.   
The State Health Minister Veena George informed that people need to be extra vigilant in the face of increasing Covid cases.  Minister further assured that there is no cause for concern in the State,as even.when the covid cases are on a rise, the number of people who need the help of ICUs and ventilators is 
comparatively low. Meanwhile a complete lockdown will be imposed in the State on Sundays with stringent restrictions.
The test positivity rate in Kerala had hiked to  19.22 per cent. 179 deaths were also confirmed due to Covid yesterday,taking the death toll to 20,313. 18,573 recoveries were also reported. At present, over one lakh  95,000  people are undergoing COVID treatment in the state.
