Kerala records 12,100 new Covid cases

In Kerala, the number of daily Covid cases has gone up as the state confirmed 12,100 new positive cases yesterday. The test positivity rate is 10.25 percent at present.

76 deaths were also confirmed due to Covid yesterday taking the total death toll to 13,716. Bringing respite, 11,551 people recovered from the covid



infection. At present, over 1,04,000 people are undergoing covid treatment in the state.

Meanwhile, the complete weekend lockdown in Kerala continued yesterday also. There were strict police checks in rural and urban areas. Permission was granted only for essential services.
