Kerala confirms 2,802 new Covid-19 cases

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Health Minister Veena George informed that the state is all set for the Covid vaccination for children from 15 and 18 years from today. Separate vaccination centres have been arranged for children and adults. Covaxin will be given at specialized vaccination centres for children. Vaccination of children will be available at General / District / Taluk / CHC's.

Meanwhile, Kerala confirmed 2,802 new COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday.



The test positivity rate stands at 5.58 percent. 12 deaths were also confirmed due to COVID on Sunday, taking the total death toll to 48,113. Bringing respite, 2,606 recoveries were also reported. At present, 19,021 is the active Covid caseload in the state.

The night curfew imposed in the state in the wake of rising Omicron cases will continue tonight also. The regulations will be in place from 10 p.m to 5 a.m.
