Jammu & Kashmir registers 1,047 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths

With 1,047 new COVID-19 cases — 493 from the Jammu division and 554 from the Kashmir province, reported in the past 24 hours, the COVID count in the Union Territory has reached 40,990.

Meanwhile, 12 deaths, three from Jammu and nine from the Kashmir Valley were reported during the same period,



taking the death toll to 755 in the UT.

On the second consecutive day, Jammu and Kashmir recorded over 1,000 cases in one day, with Jammu once again reporting the highest positive cases across the UT.

On Friday Jammu reported 322 cases, of which only three had travel history.
