India's testing capacity has surged to more than 12 lakh daily tests: Health Ministry

Health Ministry today said that India's testing capacity has surged to more than 12 lakh daily tests. In a tweet, the Ministry said, more than 6.5 crore total tests have been conducted across the country. It said, higher testing leads to early identification of positive cases.

It added that as evidence has



revealed, eventually Positivity Rate will fall. The Health Ministry said, as India rides the wave of very high testing, several States and UTs have demonstrated better COVID19 response with higher Tests Per Million and commensurate lower Positivity Rate than the national average.
