A&N Islands records 149 new Covid-19 cases

A total of 149 fresh cases of COVID-19 reported in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is the highest figure of corona cases reported in a single day. These all are among contacts who found positive during sample testing.

 

Meanwhile, 108 patients have recovered as well. A total of 2,186 cases of COVID-19 reported in the islands till date out of which 1,032 patients recovered while the total number of active cases have reached to 1,130,



including 15 cases of Nicobar district. 24 four patients have died so far. 

902 active cases are kept under home isolation. Most of the cases are in the South Andaman district including Port Blair. 6 positive cases were admitted in North and Middle Andaman district. More areas in Port Blair city have been included to containment zones in view of the increased number of cases.
