6,971 new coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, tally mounts to 21 lakh

Maharashtra on Sunday reported more than 6,000 new COVID-19 cases for the third day in a row. According to official data, the state recorded 6,971 positive cases in last the 24 hours. While the caseload increased to



21,00,884, the death toll increased to 51,788 with 35 new fatalities.

As many as 2,417 patients were discharged, increasing the tally of recoveries to 19,94,947. The number of active cases stands at 52,956.
