56 more coronavirus positive cases registers in Telangana.

The trend of a steady increase in coronavirus positive cases in Telangana continues with health authorities on Tuesday reporting 56 more persons testing positive for Covid-19.

While there were no fatalities, eight Covid-19 positive persons recovered and were discharged on Tuesday, taking the total number of discharged cases to 194. At present, the total number of active coronavirus positive patients, who are admitted to designated Government hospitals in Hyderabad, is 711.

April witnessed a steady rise in coronavirus cases in Telangana. On April 1, the total number of cases was 109 with 88 active cases, 14 discharged and 7



fatalities.

By April 21, the State witnessed 819 more cases, which increased the total number of positive cases to 928, out of which 194 patients recovered and were discharged while the number of fatalities went up to 23. On an average, every day between April 1 and 21, health authorities reported 39 coronavirus cases.

On Tuesday, Suryapet witnessed a significant jump with authorities reporting 26 positive cases while another 19 cases were reported from areas falling under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits. Three more cases from Nizamabad, two each from Jogulamba Gadwal and Adilabad and one case each from Khammam, Medchal, Warangal and Rangareddy district were reported.
