10,216 fresh Covid-19 cases in Maharashtra

Maharashtra has registered 10,216 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The fresh spike in cases has taken Maharashtra's total active case tally to 88,838.

Maharashtra has been recording an increase in daily coronavirus cases which has prompted the authorities to go stricter with those violating Covid-19 safety protocols in the



state.

Mumbai, which was once a Covid hotspot of the state, has registered 1173 new cases and three deaths due to the virus today.

The state has reported 53 Covid-19 deaths overall today, after which its case fatality rate stands at 2.38 per cent.

Out of 1,66,86,880 laboratory samples conducted so far, 21,98,399 have been tested positive for Covid-19.
