New York City - Artists, dealers, and collectors are heading to New York for the city's oldest and largest art fair that features artists from more than 200 galleries and 30 countries.

The Armory Show, a three-day event, is expected to attract up to 100,000 art lovers with nearly every medium represented, from abstract painting to real-world photography.

"One of the things I love about being here is that it feels like a real meeting point of many different cultures and visions and

viewpoints, so the energy is really intoxicating," said Jarrett Gregory, a curator.

For Benjamin Genocchio, the show's director, the challenge is creating a communal experience that can be enjoyed even if you cannot afford to buy.

"I think creating memorable experiences defines the idea of what the show is in the public and that's why I worked very hard this year to create works on a large scale, or so dramatic and wondrous that people can't forget them," said Genocchio.
