Actor Kangana Ranaut has backed Ranveer Singh after a film body issued a ‘non-cooperation directive’ against him over his abrupt exit from Don 3. At the trailer launch of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata in Mumbai on Tuesday, Kangana said that as a person's stature grows, so do their enemies, drawing a parallel with her own experiences in the industry.
While interacting with the media, Kangana said, “You have been asking me. I have been banned by everybody. Jab aapki haisiyat badhti hai, to dushman bhi badhte hain (when your stature grows, so do your enemies),” she said while responding to questions from the media at the event.
"Aisa nahi hai ki aapki haisiyat badhe aur dushman na bane (It can't be like your stature rises and you won't make any enemies). Aaj Ranveer Singh
ko ye sochna chahiye ki unki kya haisiyat hai ki unke itne dushman hain (Ranveer Singh should think where he has reached as he has so many enemies). To accha hai (It is a good thing). Zindagi me jab aap aage badhte hain to kai tarah ke obstacle aate hain (When you succeed in life then all kinds of obstacles come in the way). You can't have just smooth road," she added.
Her statement comes a week after the Federation of Western Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against actor Ranveer Singh after Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment reached out to the film body. In an official statement released to the media, the federation also alleged that despite their multiple notices and invitations, Singh failed to appear before them to discuss the matter.
