The online exchange between actors Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut has taken a fresh turn, with Kangana Ranaut hitting back at Hrithik Roshan and asking him to "stop adding fuel to the fire and embarrassing your partner."
Kangana's response came hours after Hrithik reacted to the viral "We Need to Apologise to Hrithik" trend and said people should not be swayed by social media narratives.
Hrithik said he would wait for the facts and the right context before taking a position, even as many social media users linked the trend to his 2016 public feud with Kangana. Kangana then shared a news post about his reaction on Instagram Stories and accused him of failing to speak against those she said were trolling and harassing her using his name.
In her note, Kangana said
she was happy that Hrithik had found love with Saba Azad and wished the couple well. She also urged him not to “tease” her through such remarks and said his comments were adding “fuel to the fire”.
She wrote, "Dear Hrithik I am happy that you have found your perfect match, Saba Azad and you both look great together, you are in a committed relationship and it doesn’t suit you to tease a woman like this, instead you should condemn all those who are harassing and bullying me using your name, stop adding fuel to fire and embarrassing your partner, hope better sense prevails and you stop making unreasonable comments (sic)."
Earlier in the day, Hrithik had responded to an Instagram post shared by Freddy Birdy that read, "The world owes an apology to Hrithik Roshan (sic)."
