Actor Govinda has publicly responded to his wife Ssunita Ahuja after her remarks about his recent appearances with co-actor Komal Rani Swarnkar went viral. In videos circulating online, the 62-year-old accused Ssunita of interfering in his work, trying to damage his public image and using inappropriate language in public comments. He also urged her to "stay within her limits" and said she might need his support again in future.
The exchange followed Ssunita's remarks during a paparazzi interaction in Mumbai, where she questioned Govinda's public appearances with Komal, a newcomer who is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite him in Roopa. The row has unfolded amid fresh rumours around Govinda's personal life and repeated allegations by Ssunita about his alleged
affairs.
In one of the videos, Govinda said that Ssunita had become very serious about a "clean-up" drive and added, with sarcasm, that she had become so "clean-hearted" that she now wanted to "clean out" her husband. He also referred to an old saying from Uttar Pradesh, saying, "Hamare ghar ayo nahi aur bahar kahin khaiyo nahi," before explaining that when someone comes to a home, they are offered food, but one may still choose to eat elsewhere.
He then said the work he does happens outside the home and accused Ssunita of interfering in that work. Govinda said that when Ssunita was doing her own work, including her food show Maa Hai Na and Lock Upp Season 2, she had used Tina to call him onto both shows and taken his support, before adding that it was her right to do so.
