After months of speculation around their marriage, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, has confirmed that Ssunita Ahuja has officially withdrawn her divorce petition from the court. The development comes days after Ssunita accused Govinda of cheating on her with a young actor. She even called him a “sugar daddy” while speaking to the paparazzi.

The Bollywood star and his wife have been at the centre of a controversy surrounding their marriage. On Wednesday, Ssunita was seen at the Bandra family court with her son Yashvardhan Ahuja, sparking fresh speculation about the couple’s relationship.

Speaking about the latest development, Sinha told India Today, “We don’t know what came on to her, but she has decided to withdraw it officially. Earlier, she had filed the petition; however, no further action was taken on it. But now, she has legally taken back the case."

Adding that Govinda has

chosen not to speak on the matter, Sinha said things have become “dirty” publicly between the two, with Ssunita making some remarks about her husband. Govinda, in turn, shared a video warning her to “be in her limits”.

“Bohot badnaami huyi hai unki (Ssunita has been defamed a lot). But it never caused harm to sir; his stardom remained intact. If she really wanted to take the petition back, things shouldn’t have gone that far from her side. But good, now we can hope for some happy and peaceful time,” he added.

Ssunita’s court appearance came days after she made several candid remarks about her marriage to Govinda and his personal life. She was seen leaving the Bandra Family Court with their son Yashvardhan on Wednesday afternoon. When photographers asked her about the visit, she did not reveal the reason and instead joked, “Birthday manane aaye hain (We came to celebrate birthday).”
