Actor Salman Khan has teamed up with a fan club in Assam to provide relief to flood-affected areas in the state. A source close to the actor confirmed the development to India Today Digital, saying the relief work has been planned in phases. Through his NGO, Being Human, Khan will be involved in distributing food, providing shelter, and helping rebuild schools and hospitals.

The initiative began with the distribution of ready-to-eat food packets and other essential

supplies. Distribution of ration kits and construction aid will follow in the coming phases.

While several celebrities, including Bhumi Pednekar and Adil Hussain, have been raising awareness about the Assam floods on social media, Khan is among the few who have begun on-ground relief work in the region.

In addition to food supplies, the team has also planned to provide essential items including medicines, drinking water, sanitary pads and mosquito repellents.
