Rakul Preet Singh on IT Raids 'Search Not Pertaining to Me'

Noted actress Rakul Preet Singh has taken to social media to clarify reports linking her to the recent Income Tax searches. 

The actress strongly denied the claims being circulated about her and said the reports were published without verifying the facts. Rakul said, “The search was not pertaining to me,” making it clear that the Income Tax search was not related to her. She also said that she comes from an Armed Forces background and has built her career through hard work.

She further stated that she has been paying her taxes since the age of 20 and denied any



involvement in illegal foreign remittances, either personally or on behalf of any production house. 

She also denied holding any benami property for anyone in India or abroad. Rakul urged those who published what she called “false, malicious and speculative reports” to retract them and clarify the facts. 

She added that commercial pressures in the media should not come at the cost of facts, reputation and someone’s livelihood. With her detailed statement, Rakul has now put her side of the matter on record and sought clarity over the reports surrounding her name.
