Postmortem to determine cause of Nana Patekar’s death

A medico-legal case has been registered and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death of veteran actor Nana Patekar, who passed away at his Goa residence.

The actor was shifted to a private hospital in Goa by a family friend, after he was found unconscious at his Dona Paula residence. He is suspected to have suffered a heart attack.

The doctors tried to administer CPR (Cardiopulmonary



Resuscitation) to the actor but could not revive him and he was later declared dead. The body was shifted to Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim for a post-mortem examination.

Beyond cinema, the star was known for his association with social causes, particularly his efforts to support farmers and families affected by agrarian distress

He maintained a relatively private life away despite being one of the industry’s most recognisable faces.
