Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan has opened up about the box-office failure of his recent film I’m Game, taking responsibility for the outcome while admitting that filmmaking does not come with a guaranteed formula for success.
The film, directed by Nahas Hidhayath, received a relatively positive response for its first half, but the second half failed to sustain the momentum, eventually affecting its theatrical performance.
During a recent
interaction with fans on X, Dulquer responded to a fan who asked whether he had read an analysis thread discussing the film’s shortcomings.
The actor said he had gone through it and agreed with much of the assessment. “I read through it. I’m not saying you were wrong in your analysis. You were mostly right. And trust me, we are aware of all of it. But there are just times when, from our end, we can do everything right, but outside factors can turn those upside down,” he said.
