Makers of Kajal Aggarwal's The India Story gets legal notice over agriculture claims

The makers of The India Story have received a legal notice ahead of the film's release. The notice has been sent over claims made in the film's promotional material, with objections raised over its portrayal of Indian agriculture.

According to reports, Bhavesh Sodha of Agri Business Centre has objected to the film's teaser and promos, alleging that the promotional material contains



scientifically unverified and misleading claims about Indian agriculture, dairy and poultry farming. The notice has also been sent to Zee Studios and MIG Production & Studios LLP.

The courtroom drama centres on food adulteration and its impact on public health. Starring Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, The India Story is scheduled to release in theatres on July 24, 2026.
