Last rites of veteran music composer, singer Bappi Lahiri to be performed today

Mumbai: The last rites of veteran singer and composer Bappi Lahiri will be performed in Mumbai today. 69-year old iconic singer breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital yesterday. Bappi Lahiri was instrumental in popularizing Disco music in India and has many hit songs to his



credit.

Some of his memorable songs include I am a Disco Dancer’, ‘Pag Ghunghroo baandh Mira nachi thhi’, ‘Yaar bina Chain kaha re’ and  ‘Chalte chalte mere yeh geet rakhna’, among others.
