Katrina Kaif has a message for those who expect women to return to their pre-pregnancy bodies soon after giving birth. The actor questioned the idea of “bouncing back” and said she wants to embrace this new phase of her life at her own pace.
Reflecting on the scrutiny surrounding women's bodies after childbirth, Katrina told Vogue that people have enough information to understand the physical changes that come with motherhood. Yet, some continue to judge women for them.
“We live in a
world that wants to blow us around in the ever-changing winds of opinions,” she said, adding that she would rather focus on her present and what lies ahead.
“I think most people are aware of what a woman’s body goes through after giving birth. And if they still choose to view that body through a harsh lens, it’s a personal choice. It can’t be blamed on a lack of information, because there is so much information out there. I just want to focus on this lovely part of my life and where I’m headed," she shared.
