Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has hit back at several celebrities and public figures who have criticised her over the years, naming Ashutosh Rana, Sonu Sood, Rakhi Sawant, Taapsee Pannu and Baba Ramdev. The Bhartiya Janta Party Member of Parliament questioned their achievements and said she would only take advice from people she considers more successful than herself.
While speaking to ANI, Kangana said, "I see such people every day, whether it is Ashutosh Rana, who says that I bark like a dog, or Sonu Sood, who says that I should learn how to behave. People like Rakhi Sawant, who
make all kinds of vulgar comments about my character, and Taapsee Pannu, who keep insulting my parents, my upbringing and my background.
"My only message to these people is that if you have not achieved even one per cent of the success I have achieved in life, I will not listen to any advice from you," she added.
She mentioned that people like Baba Ramdev and Ashutosh Rana were simply seeking publicity by attacking her, famously dismissing them as "bhookhe, nange log" (famished and destitute people) whose advice she refused to take over more successful peers.
