Actor Hrithik Roshan has reacted to the viral ‘Sorry Hrithik’ trend, urging people to lead with facts instead of social media sentiment. The actor responded to influencer Freddy Birdy’s social media post, making it clear that he isn’t getting carried away by the sudden wave of support amid the Kangana Ranaut row.

The ongoing war of words between Gen Z and actor-politician Kangana Ranaut following the student protests has sparked a flood of memes, trolls and resurfaced clips targeting the actor. Amid the discourse, many users began revisiting Kangana’s long-standing legal battle with Hrithik Roshan, leading to the "We need to apologise to Hrithik Roshan" trend.

The trend gained momentum after Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das hit back at Kangana’s personal remarks. He said, "My friends were texting me and asking, 'Why is she after your life?' One of them said that I may look a

little like a young Hrithik Roshan. This is what my friends told me. I was pleasantly surprised. Why should someone like her attack someone like me?"

His statement soon fuelled the viral trend, with several social media users drawing parallels to Hrithik and Kangana’s highly publicised 2016 legal battle. One such post was shared by influencer Freddy Birdy on his Instagram handle, prompting a response from Hrithik himself.

In the comments section of the post, which read, "The world owes an apology to Hrithik Roshan (sic)," the War 2 actor wrote, "My friend, siding with ‘A’ just cause you don’t like ‘B’ anymore is a small part of the larger systemic issue plaguing our society (sic)."

Hrithik added, "I’ll wait, for when the context to it is the right one, and motivated by facts. That would be fair. I’ll wait. But then again, who cares anymore right (sic)?"
