Bollywood actor Govinda has been in the news lately due to his personal life. Recently, his wife, Sunita Ahuja, withdrew her divorce case against the actor, as confirmed by his manager. However, the Hero No. 1 actor has now issued a legal notice over false and unverified reports concerning his personal and family life. The notice comes after rumours about his alleged court marriage surfaced on sections of social media. 

Through the notice, Govinda has warned individuals, media organisations, digital platforms and content creators against creating, publishing, uploading, broadcasting or sharing content that is false, defamatory, malicious, fabricated or unverified. The actor has stated that legal action may follow if such content is circulated.

As per ANI, the details shared by Govinda's team, the notice specifically cautions against content that makes false claims about the actor or his family. It states



that action can be taken under the relevant sections of law against those responsible.

The notice also states that Govinda may seek damages of up to Rs 100 crore. The actor’s notice also raises concerns about the use of artificial intelligence and other digital technologies. It specifically mentions photographs, videos, audio recordings, morphed images, deepfakes and other synthetic content generated using AI.

According to the notice, no permission has been granted to create, manipulate or use Govinda's voice, photographs, identity or likeness through AI or other digital technologies. Material relating to his private or family life has also been covered.

Govinda's team has said that the actor may pursue both civil and criminal action under the applicable laws. The notice refers to legal provisions concerning defamation, invasion of privacy, misuse of identity and cybercrime.
