In a heartfelt tribute, the Filmfare team visited the late artiste’s residence to honoue him for his immense contribution to music and cinema, presenting three prestigious awards to his family. The honours were received on his behalf by his wife, Garima Saikia Garg, underscoring his enduring legacy in the industry.
He was posthumously awarded the
Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his unparalleled contribution to music and cinema. In addition, he received the Special Recognition Award for Roi Roi Binale, celebrating the timeless impact of the song that continues to resonate deeply with audiences. He was also honoured with the Best Playback Singer (Male) for 2025 for Agoli Anubhabe from the film Rudra, a testament to his enduring brilliance and mastery as a playback singer.
