Ever since Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups opted out of its planned March 19 release alongside Dhurandhar: The Revenge, speculation around the delay has been rife. While the makers cited the Iran-US conflict as the reason behind pushing the release, social media chatter has suggested otherwise.
While initially it was said that Yash did not want to clash with the anticipated sequel of Ranveer Singh's film, subsequent claims emerged that
Yash was unhappy with the film’s VFX and has asked for portions to be reworked. It was alleged that the actor personally stepped in to oversee the process and has been spending time in Mumbai, frequently visiting the office of DNEG, which is handling the film’s visual effects.
However, a source close to the production has dismissed these claims. They said the film is ready and the speculation around unfinished VFX is untrue.
