Vijay’s Final Film Jana Nayagan Set for May 8 Release

Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated final film, Jana Nayagan, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on May 8, 2026. 

The release date has been locked after the movie battled censor and illegal online leak issues since December 2025. Although the full movie leaked online a few days ago, potentially impacting box office earnings, Vijay’s massive stardom is expected to draw audiences to the theaters.

As this serves as his



farewell film, it is likely to see a significant boost in collections. Regardless of initial word of mouth, fans are expected to flock to the cinema during the opening days. If the film receives a positive response, it has the potential to shatter box office records across Tamil Nadu. 

Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan features Vijay in the role of a former police officer. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol portrays the antagonist, while Pooja Hegde stars as the female lead.
