Vijay Deverakonda' Rowdy Janardhana to go on floors this October in Mumbai: Report

After the disappointing performance of ‘Kingdom’, Vijay Deverakonda is moving full steam ahead with an interesting lineup of projects. Among them, his next venture is reportedly the action entertainer ‘Rowdy Janardhana’, with filming expected to begin soon.

According to a report by Gulte, the pooja ceremony for ‘Rowdy Janardhana’, directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, is scheduled for October 11, 2025. The regular shoot will reportedly commence on October 16, 2025, in Mumbai. However, an official announcement is still awaited.

Produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, this marks the second collaboration between Dil



Raju and Vijay Deverakonda after ‘The Family Star’ (2024). Though Dil Raju’s recent production venture ‘Sankrantiki Vasthunnam’ emerged as the second-highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025, his other projects, including Rama Charan’s ‘Game Changer’ and Nithiin’s ‘Thammudu’, have suffered box office setbacks.

Vijay himself is going through a rough patch with a streak of underperforming films. His last release, ‘Kingdom’, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and featuring Satyadev and Bhagyashree Borse, failed to meet expectations despite high anticipation, making ‘Rowdy Janardhana’ a much-needed project for both the actor and the banner.
