Vijay Deverakonda is gearing up to make his Bollywood debut with the Telugu-Hindi bilingual Liger, slated to open in theatres on August 25. The biggie has garnered a fair deal of attention because it features the young star in an intense new avatar. Now, here is some more exciting news for VD's ardent fans. Vijay has revealed that the pan-India movie is likely to have a sequel. Liger is a sports drama, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh.

World Famous Lover (2020), is set to return to our screens with Liger. The flick has become a rage among youngsters as it features massy dialogues such as 'waat laga denge' and 'I am a fighter'. Ahead of its release, Vijay indirectly confirmed that Liger 2 is on the cards. Speaking to BollywoodLife, the heartthrob said that Liger is likely to get a sequel.

"There will be, most probably. Yeah," he added.

Vijay, however, refused to reveal any details about the proposed sequel's plot.
