Versatile actor Prakash Raj is facing strong backlash after his comments on the Ramayana at the Kerala Literature Festival went viral on social media. 

Known for powerful performances and outspoken views, Dhookudu actor triggered controversy with remarks that many viewers called disrespectful to Hindu beliefs. 

The speech has drawn widespread criticism online, and a criminal case has reportedly been filed against the actor following the public outrage. 

The incident has once again put Prakash Raj at the center of a heated social and cultural debate.

In the viral video from the Kerala Literature Festival, Prakash Raj is seen referencing characters from the Ramayana in a context that sparked immediate



reactions. 

He reportedly described Lord Rama and Lakshmana as migrant workers from North India who entered a field in South India and took fruits, leading to a clash with the field’s owner, Ravana. 

He further called Ravana a tribal man from South India and said the dispute over stolen fruits escalated into a larger conflict. He also made a remark about a Rs 2000 GST bill that allegedly led to war, which many online users found offensive.
